Simple & Easy Small Linen Closet Organization
Linens can quickly become an overwhelming mess and consume entire closets, feeling cluttered and disorganized. Just like Marie Kondo, time to kiss your old and abundant linens goodbye and say hello to an organized and tidy linen closet. All you need to achieve an organized linen closet is a few baskets and a couple hours to bring order to the chaos that is your towels, sheets, and linens! I will share how I organized my close and hopefully it inspires you to organize your own linen closet, even if it is as tiny as mine!
Before & After
I am totally serious about getting rid of your excess. I donated 3 garbage bags of old sheets and linens that we just don’t use and really don’t need. I decided to keep one basket of King size sheets (for our bed) and one basket of twin sheets (for the kids). The extra sheets – gone!
The top has a basket of beach towels since we only use those in summer they are not needed within reach daily. A couple spare throw pillows are up there as well. The baskets on the next shelf down hold the sheets.
On the lower shelves I have towels, throw blankets, and a couple everyday cleaning supplies.
The towels are folded neatly on one side, and on the other I have the hand and face towels rolled in a wire basket. This helps keep the smaller towels organized and easy to reach. Between them I have a jar of Epsom salt which we use for so many things!
Folding the towels neatly really helps keep the space organized, and makes it look very tidy. I love these cheap, white towels!
The hand and face towels really looks so tidy and organized when placed in baskets. I love how I can separate every type of linen by basket, it really helps the kids and I keep this closet organized.
Under the towels I have a couple throw blankets. I put smaller throw blankets in another wire basket. Inside the bucket I have trash bags and room spray – both used almost daily and a staple for our linen closet.
On the very bottom I have a rolling canvas laundry cart. It is stored here but when I have clean laundry I place it in the basket until I’m ready to fold it!
I hope this inspires you to clear the clutter and clean and organize your linen closet! Mine is a small hallway linen closet and it is the only one in the house, so keeping it clean and tidy really helps us all with the never ending household mess. I am so glad to have another space in our home cleaned and organized.

This is so inspiring! I definitely need to get rid of a few linen that are very old and get new ones. We still use the old ones, but they are so worn out!

Love how clean and organized this looks. I think I have too much in my linen closet to make it look this nice, so I guess a clean out is necessary first.

I thought I had the tiniest linen closet on earth but this one is pretty small. Can’t believe how great it looks after getting organized. I’m ready to do mine now that I know it can be done.

I love how organized this is! We keep the extra sheets in a drawer in our dresser, and all of the kid’s craft stuff is in the hallway linen closet right now. But when I can take that closet back over in a few years I want it to look like this!

Whatever, that looks AMAZING! I literally just throw crap in my closet and close the doors lol. I would love for mine to look like this. Maybe one day…
