Setting a Simple & Elegant Holiday Tablescape using Fresh Flowers
Setting our holiday table is one of my favorite things to do during this festive season. Creating seasonal tablescapes with my children is a tradition that I started a few years ago, but I have yet to let them design the table for a big event like Christmas on their own. This year, my oldest daughter, Emily, has been asking to design our holiday table on her own. It totally melted my heart that she really wanted to do this tradition for our family so of course I said yes! When I asked Emily what her vision for the table was, she said simply, “I want it to look elegant, like something from a magazine, and with lots of fresh flowers!”
I also love to fill my home with fresh and aromatic floral arrangements so I was happy to let her do this. Fresh flowers not only bring the beauty of the outdoors into your home, but they also fill the house with the most refreshing scents – which I love!
I knew we would need fresh flowers that were easy to arrange since Emily would be doing this herself for the first time, so together, Emily and I visited From You Flowers and selected a few favorites that she could use to set the table. From You Flowers have the best, freshest floral arrangements to pick from delivered right to your door – even same day!

Emily decided on a green and white theme and selected 5 arrangements to create our table. Once the flowers arrived, Emily selected the placemats, plates, napkins, and silverware from our supplies and I showed her how to create the first setting. This place setting is so easy to create, it is simply a cream placemat and set of layered white plates topped with a linen napkin, finished with silverware and a wine glass. After that she did the rest! Here is a look at the Emily creating our holiday tablescape this year!
Take a look at the details of this stunning tablescape Emily created! The flowers really create that elegant look that Emily was hoping to create. The easiest part of this whole tablescape was the flower centerpiece which runs the length of the table.
This centerpiece was created using 5 floral arrangements from From You Flowers. Emily and I selected the White Lily Christmas Centerpiece as the very center of this table.
With greens and browns and whites, its gorgeous! It also includes 2 cream taper candles.
Next, on both sides of the center arrangement is a White Lily & Pine Cone Centerpiece, which includes a lovely LED candle.
Finally, on both ends of the tablescape we have placed a Winter Forest Splendor arrangement, which comes in a beautiful, white rustic container.
I just love how this whole table turned out! So elegant and timeless.
My favorite part of this tablescape is definitely the gorgeous flowers!
But I also love how it looks with my decor, like my chandelier and my farmhouse sign in the background.
I am so proud of Emily for creating this tablescape for our family this Christmas! It brings such joy to my heart to share my traditions with my kids, and for my daughters it means the world to me that they enjoy spending time with me and that they share my love for family traditions. We thank you for reading this special post, and wish your family happy holidays!

Your table looks absolutely gorgeous! I really like that you were able to incorporate fresh flowers. I bet that makes it so much more special since you obviously took the time to do it just for the event rather than pulling out something you’ve used for years.
