Places You Can Attend That Will Boost Your Confidence In Social Situations

Having the confidence to go out and live life is absolutely vital. If you don’t have much of it, then you’re never going to experience what this life has to offer. There’s so much out there, and you could miss it because you don’t quite fancy the idea of trying something new. The dreaded comfort zone likes to take over our lives, huh? It’s a shame really because we’re all pretty talented, fun, and friendly, but some of us just don’t get to show it.

Thankfully there are things we can do and places we can go to boost our confidence. Some of them might feel like quite a big step at first, but once they’ve been completely once, they become a lot easier from then on. We’re going to focus on certain places in this post; just attending them for a few weeks would make anyone’s self-confidence skyrocket. Interested in knowing a little more? Well, here are five for you to read through:

Support Groups

This is a pretty straightforward idea, but that doesn’t mean it’s an easy one to go through with. If you’re a pretty anxious person already, then it’s going to take some might in order to arrive at one of these places. Support groups are amazing, though. There are heaps of them around for every kind of social, mental, or physical issue. Everyone’s in the same boat, so nobody will judge. You’ll be a lot better for it – trust this.

The Gym

Again, a gym environment is something that’s pretty daunting to anyone that’s never set foot in one. Once you go a couple of times, though, you’ll be golden. The good thing about a gym is that, again, everyone’s looking to progress, so you’ll have people looking to help you out with everything you do. You’ll also be getting a rush of endorphins every time you get out of breath, and that’s pretty swell for someone’s mental state! Working out and being more active will make you want to continue your health journey outside – you’ll probably end up looking to make healthy meals, and that’ll only help you progress further.

Gigs

When you head to a gig, the focus is on the band playing. All you have to do is have a good time – nobody cares what you’re doing. This is great because you’ll be surrounded by people, but they won’t remember you or take any interest in anything that you’re insecure about. You could start off by heading to smaller places like harvestfest, and build up to bigger festivals or arena shows.

Sporting Events

Again, the attention isn’t on you when you head to a sports game. You’re just part of a large crowd. They’re too busy worrying about what’s on the field/court. You can get used to being around people, and slowly over time; it’ll become so very easy.

Library

Heading to a library is a great idea. It’s a social situation, but it’s a place where you’re not pressured to be social, so you can slowly build up your confidence. You’re obviously supposed to be quiet in a library, so your voice won’t need to be heard. The most you’ll utter is a sentence or two – that’s pretty tame, huh?
