Peppermint White Chocolate Vodka Holiday Cocktail
Every holiday party needs a festive holiday cocktail. Something that brings in the flavors and colors of the season, but is easy to make and can be made ahead of time for your guests. My favorite holiday cocktail to make for my guests at parties is my Peppermint White Chocolate Vodka Holiday Cocktail. With just 3 ingredients and no complicated mixing involved, it’s a no-fuss cocktail that looks beautiful when served in a martini glass rimmed with sugar. Here is how to make my Peppermint White Chocolate Vodka Holiday Cocktail.
To make this drink you will need the following:
- Vodka
- White Chocolate Liqueur
- Peppermint Schnapps
- Red and silver dusting sugar
- Mini candy canes
- Martini glasses
You will need 12 glasses, I prefer martini glasses for serving but you can absolutely use whatever you have available. Keep in mind this drink consists of about 4oz of liquid so too large of a glass and the drink may not look as nice when served.
Firstly you will need to prepare by rimming your glass with dusting sugar. I like the combination of red and silver, but you could do one or the other and this drink would look beautiful. To rim the glasses with sugar you will just need water and sugar. I found red and silver dusting sugar at my local craft store. Dip just the rim of the glass in water, and then dip the rim of the glass in the sugar mix. Swirl it around in the mix until all sides of the glass have enough of the sugar on it. Hold the glass upside down for about 15 seconds to ensure none of the water/sugar mix drips down the glass. Allow the rim to harden.
You can purchase a rimming set if needed, but I simply used a shallow dish of water and a shallow dish for the sugar. If the sugar gets too wet while rimming, clean your dish out and start with new sugar.
To make the drink, mix 1.5oz Vodka, 1.5oz White Chocolate Liquer, and .75 oz Peppermint Schnapps and pour into the glass. When making multiple drinks I just increase the amount of each and make one large mixture and then pour evenly into 12 glasses. To serve 12 you would need 18 ounces of Vodka, 18 ounces of White Chocolate Liqueur, and 9 ounces of Peppermint Schnapps.
Finally, top each glass with a mini candy cane.
This drink not only tastes amazing, but it is so simple to make. If you like a stronger drink, add more vodka, if you prefer a lighter drink, use less vodka. Either way, this drink is sure to look beautiful served at your holiday party and be enjoyed by your guests.
