Getting Kids in the Kitchen with Dole
My kids love getting in the kitchen and making recipes with me. During this tough time where our ability to be in physical stores in limited, I am looking for more fun and easy ways to interact with my kids at home – especially in the kitchen. I want to be sure my kids understand how much a healthy diet can impact their life in a positive way yet still be fun! Right now Dole is helping families with their diet and nutrition by offering free at-home resources parents can access online and print right at home. One of my favorite resources is the Kids in the Kitchen Recipes, which…

Spring Themed Easter Baskets with Gardening Supplies (Candy-Free)
Easter baskets are so fun to create for kids! You can get pretty creative and curate baskets that are completely candy-free yet are fun and inspiring for kids. I really am not a big fan of using candy as a primary filler for Easter baskets (or any holiday) so I have gotten creative over the years and made many alternative candy-free Easter baskets for my kids. One of my favorite and most used candy-free Easter basket themes is a Spring theme or gardening themed basket. I now create this basket every year since the kids always need new gardening supplies and it sparks their interest in getting out in the…

A Neutral & Floral Cottage Style Spring Fireplace Mantle
This Spring I wanted to add touches of fresh greens to our newly renovated fireplace mantle. Previously, our mantle was too small to accommodate potted plants, but now thanks to our large DIY rustic beam mantle I can layer several items and display larger pieces such as real potted plants. Styling a mantle is simple when you just add things you love! I love large framed signs and potted plants so I played around with a couple of my favorite pieces and created this look for my mantle. In addition to styling the mantle I styled the whole fireplace hearth to add even more charm to our cottage farmhouse style…

Our Cottage Farmhouse Spring Home Tour
This spring I kept it super simple around our home and used cottage and farmhouse style pieces to decorate the main areas of our home. The areas I will show you in this home tour are our living room, family room, entry, kitchen and dining room. In addition to my home, I have teamed up with a group of very talented bloggers to share their Spring home tours as well! I hope you enjoy this Spring home tour and check out some of your favorites at the end of…

Organizing Board Games using Small Storage Cabinets with Wayfair.com
How many board games do you have stashed away in the closets of your home? 10? 20? 50 or more? In our family we have tons of board games – it is one of our favorite pastimes. In the past they have been stashed in the pantry, the closets, the garage, under beds, and even just in the corner of the room. We have a lovely family room in our home where we play games and puzzles, so I wanted to organize our games in that room so they would be easy to fetch when it was time for games. The problem is where do you put so many games…

Kraft Paper & Buffalo Check Christmas Wrapping Paper Inspiration
Wrapping presents for Christmas is one of my favorite things of all time. I love to layer paper with ribbon and embellishments – I think the time put into wrapping the gifts really shows the care and thought behind it. Don’t get me wrong, it is a lot of work, so I don’t wrap all the gifts this way, but I do try my best to have a couple for each kid wrapped special and placed under the tree. My favorite style for wrapping paper at Christmas currently is a simple and rustic Kraft paper and buffalo check combination. Last year I really enjoyed this style of wrapping as well,…
