A Farmhouse Cottage Christmas Home Tour
Christmas is one of my favorite seasons to decorate for. I love the bright white home decor, all the cozy cottage accents, the twinkle lights, and all the joy and cheer that surrounds this festive time of year. Decorating for Christmas for me usually means coming up with an overall theme and carrying it throughout the home. This year I decided to decorate in white, cream, dark green and natural wood tones to create a cozy neutral cottage farmhouse Christmas home. Throughout my home you will see that my decor consists of primarily these colors, including plenty of small dark green faux winter trees. You will be able to tour…

A Simple Farmhouse Inspired Fall Tablescape
Setting a table this fall doesn't have to be elaborate or expensive. All you need is your favorite plates, a fabric table runner and napkins and a few faux sprigs! I like to keep my fall tablescape neutral and natural in color with subtle hints of fall. For this tablescape I use a linen color runner and linen napkins with simple wreath designs, and just top the setting off with faux lambs ear picks.

Setting a Neutral Farmhouse Thanksgiving Tablescape for Kids
Setting a kids table for Thanksgiving (or any holiday) can be both simple and beautiful while still using a neutral farmhouse color palette. I don’t want to use my nice ceramic dishes for the kids – accidents do happen – but I love the idea of still using real, white dinnerware and not paper plates or loud colorful plastic plates. Also, true to my style, I wanted to use rustic, neutral colors with faux pumpkins and greens as the centerpiece. One exception is the crayons for the kids to color with! I’ll show you how I set a neutral farmhouse table for the kids at Thanksgiving in this post, and…

A Cozy Fall Farmhouse Family Room
Our family room is my favorite room in our house mostly because there is no TV and its southern facing so its always bright and warm and cozy. I've styled it with farmhouse cottage charm, and love to update it seasonally. For fall I spruced it up with some pumpkins and cozy pillows, a new rug and a chippy lantern. We love to come in here and play games, read, or just sit and enjoy quiet time. It really is our little oasis in our home.

DIY Shiplap and Stained Wood Beam Farmhouse Style Fireplace Mantle
Shiplap fireplace mantles with wood beams look so beautiful in farmhouse and cottage style homes. The center of our home is our living room, it’s our place of gathering, and we have updated and changed nearly every inch of it to create a warm and inviting place for our family except for our small, builder-grade fireplace mantle through several DIY home projects. The fireplace should be a bold focal point in our home as it can be seen from anywhere in the main living area, but it has unfortunately been one of the last projects to be completed to update our home from builder-grade to farmhouse cozy. Instead of a beautiful…

Purina ONE Dog & Cat Food, Taking the 28-day Challenge
My pets are young and healthy, and it is important to me that I feed them high quality foods to keep them in good health for as long as possible. This is why I decided to take the Purina ONE 28-day challenge for my dog and my cats. My first stop was to visit Target, my go-to store for all my pets needs. I know I can always find the best food for my pets at Target!

A Vintage Back-to-School Kid’s Party
School starting back up in the fall is a happy time for my kids, and the best way to celebrate it is with a big DIY back-to-school party! Hosting an easy, back-to-school party is a fun way to gather all your kids friends up and get them excited for the year to come. Sometimes with long summer breaks the kids might not get to see each other, and I love to get them together before school is in session to rekindle their friendships! I love vintage anything, so I decided to celebrate Emily entering middle school by throwing her a DIY vintage back-to-school party! The Backdrop I like to set…

Fall Farmhouse Vignettes with Faux Pumpkins and Greens
Fall is the perfect time to style simple farmhouse vignettes around the home. The weather is cooling down and you’ll probably be spending more time hosting lots of activities with friends and family in your home, and having a seasonally decorated space can feel extra cozy and inviting. If you didn’t know, a vignette is a small grouping of decor pieces to create a styled arrangement. It’s a simple combination that you can tailor to your preferred color palette and add to practically anywhere in your home. I like to create simple fall farmhouse vignettes with faux pumpkins and greenery using neutral cottage style colors like muted greens, creams, and…
