Our Cottage Farmhouse Spring Home Tour
This spring I kept it super simple around our home and used cottage and farmhouse style pieces to decorate the main areas of our home. Neutral style decor is my favorite, so for spring I used lots of creams and whites and added touches of green. The areas I will show you in this home tour are our living room, family room, entry, kitchen and dining room. In addition to my home, I have teamed up with a group of very talented bloggers to share their Spring home tours as well! I hope you enjoy this Spring home tour and check out some of your favorites at the end of this post.
Entryway
For the entry way the only changes I made to transition from Winter to Spring was to remove all the faux Winter trees and instead place a few faux florals. To keep it neutral I use lots of white and amber and rust color vintage accent pieces to style this hutch. You can see more ideas for styling a farmhouse hutch here.
Family Room
Our family room is also our game room and relaxation room. There is no TV in here, its where we both gather and go for peace and quiet. For this room, to transition to Spring decor I replaced all the faux trees with faux florals, added this beautiful scroll over a chippy vintage door, and put some beautiful flameless LED candles in the center. I like using the flameless candles in this room because its safe for the children at such a low height.
Another favorite that I added to this space is this gorgeous farmhouse scroll. I love how timeless and neutral these scrolls look in a cottage style family room. I have several of these scrolls that I swap out seasonally. The scroll in this room is a great one to use year round!
I also added a family gallery wall in this space to add some personalization. I love using uniform, neutral picture frames to create a gallery wall. Combined with linens, whites, and woods, this space is perfectly neutral and cottage fresh.
Dining Room & Kitchen
For our kitchen and dining room I kept it super simple and bright and just left a few faux greens throughout the space. I love to decorate with neutrals so the rug and the chairs and table and counters are all bright and neutral bases for decorating. Adding pops of greenery and some linen pillows is an easy way to spruce up the dining room while still looking neutral.
Living Room
I always like to change up the mantle when I decorate seasonally. For spring I added some terracotta pots and a new farmhouse sign. I layered vintage crocks and faux florals in this space as well.
The living room is where most of the Spring changes were made in my home. Lots of faux florals added throughout, Spring throw pillows, faux peony flowers, and potted faux greens.
We recently created this fireplace mantle and brick hearth in a crazy DIY. I love layering decor here now! This is the coziest spot in our home now, and I love decorating with lots of pillows, throws, and cozy neutrals.
