Making The Most Of A Trip To Daytona Beach

Florida is an incredibly popular tourist destination in the USA, and it has been the top destination for the last 8 years. Florida is the home of many amazing places, one of those being Miami which is well known for its vibrant culture and Cuban style. Daytona Beach is another part of Florida to visit that has a lot to offer, and we want to share some of this today.

1. Boardwalk

The boardwalk of the beach was built back in 1938,and it has been a local landmark ever since. If you fancy a gentle stroll along the coast this year, this is a great choice and you can enjoy the fresh air as you walk the boards. The boardwalk has many features such as stalls, arcades, and even amusement rides such as rollercoasters. It is a great place to spend a few hours! 

2. MOAS – Museum of Arts and Sciences

For those of you who want to learn a little while on your trip, MOAS is a wonderful destination for the family. The museum contains over 30,000 objects and it is one of the largest displays of science and art in Florida. You’ll be able to see everything from Cuban and Chinese art, to American furniture and many displays of Florida history. 

3. The Beach

You simply can’t visit a place called Daytona Beach without visiting its namesake, and the beach here is amazing. For anyone who enjoys spending time on the sand, the beach is packed with white sands and blue waters, as well as the opportunity to try new activities. You could try Daytona Beach surfboard rentals and head on the waves, and you can also enjoy a range of water sports as well as diving. The beach is a wonderful place to be and well worth it. 

4. Daytona International Speedway Tours

Daytona International Speedway is a great place to come for anyone who loves motorsport. A tour of this place allows you to get up close and personal with the NASCAR speedway that is famous the world over. You’ll be able to take a ride through the speedway, as well as VIP race around the track. It is the ideal trip for car lovers and adrenaline junkies. 

5. Lighthouse Point Park

Lighthouse Point Park is a good option for times when you want to escape from the city and enjoy some fresh air and wildlife. This park is situated just south of the beach and it includes some wonderful flora and fauna for you to enjoy. You’ll also be able to take advantage of a whole host of activities such as fishing, hiking, cycling, and more. From the park you’ll be able to see across the landscape, and if you are lucky you’ll encounter armadillos, gopher tortoises, raccoons and possums. 

A trip to Daytona beach is certainly more than worth it, and you’ll be able to enjoy the vibrance and lifestyle of cities such as Miami in a less populated place. Enjoy a trip here this year and make the most of everything this area has to offer.
