Get to the nitty gritty

Windows, furniture and lighting indoors, collect a lot of dust during the winter due to the cold and dry air trapped in them. Be sure to wipe the floors of your house and dust large areas of the premises frequently (2-3 times a week) to keep dust levels under control. Remember to clean your bedside tables, bookcase and books as well as your lights on a weekly basis – as all of the above are hidden dust magnets. Finally, if you light the fireplace often, do not forget to clean the windows using a mixture of vinegar and water to get rid of the blurred appearance of the latter.  When you keep things spic and span, you will notice all your hard DIY work will pay off for longer and things will look more luxurious for even longer.

If you have painted your kitchen, you may notice the walls are tarnishing from cooking oils and general wear and tear. Basically, as you cook, the ceiling and walls of the kitchen absorb water vapor, creating a thin film of moisture on their surface. Fortunately, you can easily and quickly put it on: just dissolve some dishwashing detergent in a bowl of warm water and using a clean sponge, scrub those surfaces.

Get rid of junk and tidy up!

Get rid of the things that are hindering you. Junk lying around the house doesn’t look good. Look at Local Offers to see who can help you out. According to research, anxious people spend 10-20% of their day looking for things in the house. So keeping things tidy is going to really assist and keep everywhere in good working order. A functional home is a good home. Start by making the bed and picking up all the laundry from all the rooms. Place them directly in the laundry bin and put the clean clothes in place. Then put the shoes in the shoe racks and head straight to the sock drawer. See which ones do not have a pair and throw them away or dust them. Collect all your accessories by placing them in place or throwing (or donating) what you have to wear for over 2-3 years. In the remaining two minutes, look carefully at your entire space and see if there are any objects you used in an old project. If so, collect them so that the space is empty and tidy. See how it affects your mind and how it improves the look of your house because you may be pleasantly surprised! Make your house a home, it deserves it.
