G’Day Mate. Fancy A Road Trip

Australia is a country of many wonders. It has long captured the heart of many travellers, heading there for many different reasons. It has charm, it has a history, it has that modern edge. It has everything a traveller could want and more. For a lot of us, it’s the other side of the world to get to, but it’s more than worth it. There are so many parts of it that you could go to, parts of it that are just waiting to be explored. We know it’s one of the more pricey travel options, but it’s a trip of a lifetime, and we think it’s about time that you started to plan one. What better way to begin planning one, than to plan a road trip. A road trip would allow you to see so many different parts of the country in one, and experience it the true way. Hitting the road and driving some of the coastal routes, or even the outback routes, will leave you in awe of what the country has to offer. But if you don’t have a clue how to go about it, we’re here to help. Keep on reading to see how you can plan the perfect road trip.

Get The Basics Sorted

One of the first things that you need to think about, is the location you want to start from. There are many airports in Australia, and in all honesty it doesn’t matter where you start. So, perhaps go with a city like Perth. It’s usually on people’s hit list, and there’s plenty of car rental services that will allow you to hit the route. Perth’s favourite car rental company should be able to sort you out with a car that suits your needs. Then you actually need to plan the route. You could follow the coast and visit the Gold Coast, Sydney, and everything the coast has to offer. Think of cities like Melbourne, Victoria, brisbane, and all the hot spots that you’re going to need to snap up. If you can, we’d highly recommend that you take an outback tour at some point as well. Stick to a guided tour, as they can be pretty dangerous. Only recently did a group of tourists car break down, and they were lost for days having split up to try and find help.

Keeping It Cheap And Cheerful

We know that getting to Australia comes with a hefty price tag. It’s not just the place you go for a week or two. People go for three or more weeks, and it starts adding up. So to save some money along your road trip, you could think about doing a mix of camping and hotel stays. There are some seriously incredible camping spots along the route, and the vibe of a campsite is usually amazing.

Making The Most Of Every Stop Off

This is going to be a holiday that does truly tire you out, so to make sure that you make the most of every stop off, do your research and see what’s in each location. For those of you who like to go with the flow, this holiday might not suit you. The more you plan, the more you’re going to get out of your trip.
