Family-Friendly Camping in Las Vegas
The great thing about camping is that you can pretty much travel anywhere within the USA and know that you’ll have a comfortable place for you and the family to lay your head at night and that it won’t cost a fortune either. In fact, you can even use a camping set up to visit some of the most traditionally expensive areas like Las Vegas, Nevada and keep the costs relatively low. A topic you can find out more about in my post below.
Finding a campsite in Vegas
Of course, you would think that camping in Vegas means that you won’t be staying in the strip, but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. In fact, it can work really well because it means that you end up spending your days on the strip and in the old town which is usually when it’s the most family friendly anyway.
However, if you do want to be as close to the action as possible, there are some venus to consider including the RV park at Circus Circus. Alternatively, a short ride away you will find sites like Las Vegas KOA at Sam’s Town Journey and a few others off the 582. In fact, these can be something that can work particularly well because they are right but a Walmart Supercenter which is excellent for stocking up on food and supplies that you have forgotten without breaking the bank.
Free and family-friendly things to do
Of course, you won’t want to go all that way and not see and experience some of the fantastic sites that Las Vegas has to offer and happily, there is quite a bit to do that is low priced and even free. If you plan your trip carefully, that is.
In fact, just touring the hotels including the Excalibur and the Venetian can be a real treat for the whole family because they are set up like mini theme parks inside, complete with props and immerse scenes.
Alternatively, if you are looking for a reasonably priced activity then taking the kids to the Midway in Circus Circus is a smart move as there you can play the carnival games and arcade machines while soaking up the atmosphere. Additionally, there are free circus shows there that run regularly and that are suitable for the whole family to enjoy.
You may even find that taking the kids to see a show or performance in Vegas like the Eiffel Tower Experience or the Tournament of Kings may be a lot less expensive than you expect. Especially if you use sites where event tickets are sold at a cut price. Something that can help make it much more affordable for the entire family to attend.
Where to eat with the kids
Lastly, while you may want to self cater a great deal of your trip to Vegas with the family, it’s always nice to have a few meals out together at least.
Happily, in Vegas, there are plenty of good value and reasonably priced choices including lots of take-out food like the In and Out Burger, as well as plenty of buffets that not only charge a reduced price for kids but will fill up the entire family for a whole day too!

I don’t have children myself, but will share this post with a few of my friends who do. I am sure they’ll find it very useful x

Interesting post Bree. Camping in Vegas would never have occurred to me as being an available option. I am planning a trip to Sin City next year and will bear it mind.
