Fall Farmhouse Vignettes with Faux Pumpkins and Greens
Fall is the perfect time to style simple farmhouse vignettes around the home. The weather is cooling down and you’ll probably be spending more time hosting lots of activities with friends and family in your home, and having a seasonally decorated space can feel extra cozy and inviting. If you didn’t know, a vignette is a small grouping of decor pieces to create a styled arrangement. It’s a simple combination that you can tailor to your preferred color palette and add to practically anywhere in your home. I like to create simple fall farmhouse vignettes with faux pumpkins and greenery using neutral cottage style colors like muted greens, creams, and whites. Today I’m sharing how to create simple fall farmhouse vignettes using faux pumpkins and greenery throughout your home.
In addition, a wonderful group of ladies have gathered together to share all their best fall vignette ideas to help inspire you as you decorate your home this fall. I hope you enjoy my fall vignette ideas, and that you will follow along and find more inspiration from all the ladies in this blog hop at the end of this post.
Creating vignettes throughout your home in fall is a simple and easy way to add cottage style charm. Layer fall decor pieces such as faux pumpkins and greens with your favorite home decor, vintage pieces, and furniture to create beautiful seasonal vignettes in every room of your house. I love to change my decor seasonally so vignettes are something I create year round and for each specific season.
This fall I began my vignettes in the entryway by styling my favorite console table – it is the first thing people see when they enter my home so it sets the tone for the rest of my house each season. I like to make sure this space is really decked out with fall vignettes, including by styling a farmhouse tray with mini fall decor pieces. To center the space I like to add a beautiful rustic farmhouse wood sign.
I start by switching out pillows for ones that match the season. It is then simple to add layers of texture with a few concrete pots and faux stems to create this simple neutral layered look for fall. I add lots of mix and match faux pumpkins in a variety of shapes and sizes throughout my vignettes. I really feel pumpkins are a focal point for fall decor.
I stick to a simple green and white color palette. The colors are soft and somewhat neutral, my favorite for a neutral fall farmhouse look in my home. I love to use tons of faux pumpkins in the fall – especially in soft muted green, white, and cream tones.
I carry the theme to other areas of my home, styling faux pumpkins and greens together to make mini fall vignettes throughout the house. It is so easy to create little fall vignettes all over your home by just layering neutral color faux pumpkins and greens. I mix and match these fall decor pieces with vintage finds I have collected for even more farmhouse cottage style charm.
For this vignette I used a vintage platter and layered greens and pumpkins together. All around my house I layer faux pumpkins and greens to create fall vignettes, this carries the neutral farmhouse look from one room to another. I even like to create vignettes inside of my hutches, you can even see how I have decorated my hutches with vintage vignettes for Christmas.
Faux pumpkins are so simple and easy to create fall vignettes even for your dining room table. I even created a simple fall tablescape using faux greens and pumpkins. I have collected my faux pumpkins over time, but I have linked some below as well.
Each little fall vignette adds such a pretty fall farmhouse touch to a home for the season. It is the simplest way to add fall touches to your home, and the secret is that you can layer the pumpkins and greens however you want and mix them with all your other beautiful cottage style decor because vignettes are made best with variety – just stay within your selected color palette. I hope you enjoyed these simple vignette ideas for fall. Be sure to head to anderson + grant next for another inspiring post on fall vignettes.
