Decorating a Simple White Flocked Farmhouse Christmas Tree

The focal point of my Christmas decor is always a large, beautiful, rustic Christmas tree. One of my favorite Christmas trees is my 8′ flocked tree from King of Christmas. This tree is grand, majestic, and has the snowy look that reminds me of Christmas in a lodge out somewhere full of snow – my favorite type of Christmas! To decorate my flocked Christmas tree, I like to keep it simple, with a few neutral and earthy ornaments repeated throughout the tree. To add old time charm I created my own vintage hymnal song sheet ornaments and decorated the tree with a combination of these and some simple ornaments I have collected. Here’s a look at my simple white flocked farmhouse Christmas tree!

To create a simple white flocked farmhouse Christmas tree, you will need to purchase a high quality tree with quality flocking. Some flocked trees look sparce and cheap and fake. I love King of Christmas because the trees are gorgeous and grand looking, and the pre-lit trees come with a variety of lighting options. My tree is the 8′ prince flocked, pre-lit. Now to decorate the tree, I like to use natural rustic elements such as fabric, wood, galvanized, copper, ceramic and glass. For this tree I have used a variety of fabric balls, wood rounds, ceramic snowflakes and house shapes, copper bells, mercury glass ornaments, and galvanized snowflakes. I avoid anything with bright colors and glitter! You want to stick to as simple and natural as you can when it comes to decorating a farmhouse flocked Christmas tree.

The only item that I have added with a slight shimmer are these lambs ears clips that are dusted. I clipped them throughout the tree.

My favorite ornament is actually these easy DIY vintage song sheet ornaments that I created out of old hymnal books.

It really is so simple to decorate a flocked farmhouse white Christmas tree. You just need a few ornaments that stick to neural and earthy tones and textures, and a quality flocked Christmas tree. Some of the ornaments on this tree I have found from thrift stores, you never know what you are going to find and its a great way to look for charming vintage ornaments that will look great on your flocked Christmas tree. Between thrifting, simple DIYs, and shopping for just the right pieces, you can create your own flocked farmhouse white Christmas tree and enjoy the old-world cozy charm in your own home!
