A Simple & Rustic Farmhouse Christmas Front Porch

Simplicity is my goal when it comes to my front porch. I love to keep it clean and minimal, with neutral rustic touches. For Christmas and winter, cream and black and green are my favorite colors to decorate with that remain neutral but have the rustic vintage holiday vibes I am looking for. This year to create a simple and rustic farmhouse Christmas front porch I added some faux green trees, a few wooden decor accent pieces, and a new holiday welcome mat. Take a look at this years porch to inspire your own holiday front porch this year.

Above the front door I added a faux green Christmas garland. I like to keep it simple for my front porch, so I did not add lights or a lot of color. I really prefer to decorate in neutral farmhouse cottage style colors. This porch is created with white, black, and dark greens.

To create this simple and rustic farmhouse front porch, first I added some simple large faux green trees and small faux green trees in various buckets, crocks, and baskets. I found these containers while thrifting! You can also but them new, either way crocks look so cute when decorating a front porch. I love layering several sizes and adding a variety of faux green trees!

I like to switch out a large porch sign each season – and I love this black and white one from AR Workshop. It really stands out on the porch! Having a front porch sign is definitely one of my favorite ways to make a statement on my porch. I love placing large, rustic, and neutral signs that go with the season. The black and white here really pop!

Another simple way to update your porch for the season is to add a new welcome mat. This one from AR Workshop is so simple and so pretty! I layer it over a neutral black and white stripped mat. Also, I love woodland creatures so I added this sweet little cement deer.

I like to add vintage touches to my home, so I layered this old vintage sled with the faux trees on this side of the porch. Decorating with vintage treasures is one of my favorite ways to decorate my home. I love the way old things are unique and add charm to any space. They also really bring in the farmhouse cottage style ambiance that I try to create in our home.

Lastly, a season door hanger is added to complete the winter and Christmas front porch update. This is a custom door hanger, but you could easily decorate with any door hanger that you fall in love with. This season I am really liking the black and white look for Christmas decor. It is neutral but really pops, especially when added to dark green faux trees.

Its as easy as adding a few faux trees, some vintage accents, and seasonal signs and a seasonal mat to update your front porch for winter and Christmas. I hope this helps you create your own simple and rustic farmhouse Christmas front porch!
