A Simple & Cozy Fall Fireplace Refresh with Wayfair.com

Decorating my mantle seasonally is one of my favorite things to do, in fact I often change up the decorations a couple times throughout the seasons! I have been having a lot of fun mixing up my decor, alternating from lots of layers and textures with simpler designs with just a couple key colors. For this fireplace mantle I wanted to keep it super simple, only adding just a few pieces, and staying within a white/cream, mustard, and burnt orange color theme.

To create coziness for fall in any space, just add a few pretty fall pillows in earth toned colors. Pillows are a great way to decorate in any space because they are so versatile. They look cute and cozy anywhere, and when your ready to get cozy on the couch you’ll always have lots of comfy pillows near to choose from. You can see how I use pillows throughout my home in my fall home tour!

My favorite fall colors are cream, mustard, burnt orange, and taupe. I use these colors throughout this simple and cozy fall mantle, including in the color choices for the pillow covers. I love these three pillow covers that I found from Wayfair.com. One comes as a set of super soft velvet mustard covers, and the third pillow I selected was this taupe floral print cover, also super soft and made from a velvet cotton. I have really been loving velvets for fall, they are super cozy and add so much warmth to a space.

There were so many good choices from Wayfair.com – but I picked just a couple of my favorite earth toned velvet covers to complete this simple and cozy fall fireplace refresh.

To keep this fireplace extra simple I just added the pillows to the hearth and on this rustic side table, and then layered a couple other fall elements to the fireplace mantle and hearth. I love this side table because it has a worn wood look, which adds lots of character and texture to the fireplace. It contrasts from the white brick of the fireplace so well, while blending in with the cozy earth tones that I have selected for this space this fall.

Using decor pieces you already have is another way to keep a space super simple. Reuse what you can, and then update the space with just a few key elements like I have for this fall fireplace refresh. Next to the hearth I placed a vintage crock with some faux florals I had laying around the house. I wanted to add balance to the space and by having a table on one side and the crock on the other your eye is naturally drawn to both sides of the fireplace hearth.

Centering this fall fireplace refresh is a simple set of birch logs. I love to place these in front of my fireplace because it is a gas insert, so the wood adds a cozy rustic element to the space much like a wood burning fireplace naturally offers.

On the fireplace mantle I have my favorite farmhouse fall sign centered on the mantle. To add extra fall flair I layered these beautiful fall faux leaf stems from Wayfair.com under the sign.

These leaf stems are so realistic! They are 34″ long faux Aspen leaf stems, and come in a set of 3, so I placed one on either end under the sign and then placed one in the center. To make them appear evenly spread, bend half of the stems one direction so that the leaves appear as though they begin in the center and fan out towards the edges of the mantle.

It is as simple as that to update your fireplace for fall with a simple and cozy touch. Just add a few key cozy elements like throw pillows, birch logs, and some faux fall leaf stems and then balance the space with side tables and larger decor pieces. Use muted earth tones like cream, mustard, taupe, and rust to add a rustic farmhouse look to your fall fireplace. So simple, yet so cozy!
