A Cozy Family Holiday Movie Night with Papa Murphy’s

During the holidays I love to do lots of cozy family activities with the kids to make beautiful memories. One of our favorite things to do is watch holiday movies together by the fire, while doing a holiday themed craft and enjoying yummy pizza and popcorn. This year, our family is making the most of celebrating the holidays at home with lots more family movie nights and Papa Murphy’s Take N’ Bake pizzas. We all enjoy the time together, the fun activities, and the delicious pizza!

On our most recent family movie night, we ordered some delicious family sized Take N’ Bake pizzas from Papa Murphy’s – not only are they our family’s favorite take out style and bake at home pizzas, but we love that we can all get our favorite combinations by ordering 1/2 and 1/2 style pizzas. The kids love Hawaiian and Cowboy on thin crust, and my husband and I love Herb Chicken Mediterranean and Chicken Bacon Artichoke Delight pizzas. Everyone is so happy that they can enjoy their favorite pizzas and I love how easy it is to order online at order.papamurphys.com for quick and contactless pickup.

One of my kids favorite holiday movies is Home Alone 2 Lost in New York, so we put the movie on while we enjoyed stringing popcorn and eating pizza. It is so easy to string popcorn – it’s festive and my kids really enjoy making popcorn garland for the tree. You will want to plan ahead and use day old popcorn, since fresh popcorn tends to break easier. All you need is a large needle, some thread, and the stale popcorn. My girls enjoy stringing popcorn together while my son seemed to be more entertained by eating it!

The holidays are our favorite time of year, so anytime we can get together and create memories and make festive decorations, we all get excited. Some other crafts we enjoy during our holiday movie nights include: making gingerbread houses, creating ornaments, painting holiday themed pictures, decorating sugar cookies, and making paper garland. My kids really enjoy having a craft to do along with the movie. It not only gives them something to keep them busy, but they like being able to make decorations for the home at this time of year.

It is our tradition to watch all of our favorite holiday movies during the month of December. Our list of must watch holiday movies includes: Home Alone, Home Alone 2 Lost in New York, Elf, The Santa Clause, The Nightmare Before Christmas, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, The Grinch, A Christmas Story, Jingle All the Way, Charlie Brown’s Christmas, A Muppet Christmas, and Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer. Usually we watch them throughout the month – they get us so excited for Christmas Day!

Especially because we are spending more time at home, ordering pizza from Papa Murphy’s has made my job as a mom so much easier. I don’t have to worry about cooking or clean up when I can order some pizzas easily online from Papa Murphy’s – its a great at-home dinner option that saves me time and energy, and brings the family together.

What are some of your family’s favorite at-home holiday traditions?
