Setting up and Using our Pop-Up Camper {Pop-Up Camping}

You might have read my post on organizing a pop-up camper, packing for pop-up camping, or shopping for your travel trailer. Now I want to show you how it looks in the wild (when we are camping!). Being organized and planning ahead allows us to really enjoy our pop-up camper when we are traveling. Lets take a look!

This is our Jayco Pop-Up camper:

When we first arrive, we pull out our basic accessories and supplies which we keep in one bin closest to the door. This is the stuff we use to set the pop-up up and maintain it throughout the trip. Next, we level it out and pop it up!

Here it is popped-up!

I keep the supplies bin outside the camper, readily accessible for maintaining the camper throughout the trip. Check this post out to see what supplies we keep in here for our camper.

I like to use a large 8×10′ size outdoor rug to catch the dirt before going in the camper.Ā I keep a cooler with all the drinks in it just outside the camper. It is easier for the kids to have access to their drinks when it is out here, rather than digging in the camper every time they are thirsty (which is ALL the time!)

Inside the camper are bins that are packed and ready ahead of time and set on the counters for easy access. The beds are made and cozy, 2 of our kids sleep on one end, and we sleep with one of our kids on the other end. They often come in here to read or play games, and the dog sleeps and naps in here, too.

We love to play games at the table. I also prepare snacks and simple meals here.

We store our electronics, books, and mini LED lanterns by our beds.

We bring a portable DVD player for our youngest, it helps him at night when hes restless.

The kids help set up outside the camper. We like to bring a pop up garbage can and a table cloth, and we enjoy most of our meals outdoors. Check out my favorite camping accessories HERE.

We really love and use our pop-up camper multiple times a year, all-season, to travel and camp in. Starting with a detailed packing list, and organizing ahead of time make our adventures fun and easy when we are on the road. Check out my other posts to prepare for your pop-up camper adventure!
