A Simple Spring Tablescape with Fresh Flowers & Potted Greens

Fresh flowers and greens are abundant in the Spring, which is why for this simple spring tablescape I wanted to bring the outdoors inside by creating a table with fresh flowers and potted greens. For the color scheme, I mixed and matched greens and blues with pops of brass and copper. All of the colors are very earthy! Making this tablescape was really fun, and definitely turned out beautifully. I also teamed up with some talented bloggers to showcase some amazing home decor inspiration for this Spring, so at the end of this post please check out their posts! And now here is how to use earthy tones, fresh flowers and potted greens to create a simple spring tablescape!

First, to create this tablescape I placed a light blue-grey striped runner down the table and added some fresh green and white floral sprigs. In the very center of this spring tablescape I placed some potted green plants in terracotta pots. I really like how the fresh flowers and greens bring in the the beauty of the outdoors. I also layered some brass candlesticks down the runner.

For the place settings I simply layered these gorgeous blue watercolor floral plates over a cream wicker charger, and added a beautiful birds nest napkin. I mixed and matched some vintage copper cups with these copper mule mugs, and a few wine glasses. I really like to mix and match my table settings, nothing has to be perfectly the same!

When I created this tablescape my intention was to use earthy tones such as copper, brass, greens, blues, and creams to create an eclectic spring tablescape. The fun thing about this tablescape is you could lay any greens or flowers down the table runner, and place any potted plants for the centerpiece that you like or happen to already have. As with the cups, you could mix and match copper with glass, or whatever you have. The more variety the more character it brings to the table. Like spring, Mother Nature is not all matchy-matchy, its a variety of beautiful things. So have fun mixing what you have when you create this tablescape.

The overall look of this tablescape should be eclectic with lots of neutral tones to pull it together. The boldest color I used is blue, but it is a soft watercolor blue and blends in with the natural earthy tones of the rest of the table. You could use any table runner you have on hand as well, ranging from white to cream to grey or blues. Again, the more variety the more eclectic your tablescape will look!

For the potted greens in the tablescape centerpiece, draping greens look beautiful and help fill the table runner with even more spring greens. Creating a simple spring tablescape is easy when you have lots of beautiful flowers and greens to layer as your centerpiece, so use plenty!

Most of all when you are creating this tablescape, have fun! Use your creativity and the things you have around the house to mix and match and create an eclectic earthy look. Use fresh flowers and potted greens and some brass candlesticks to create a gorgeous spring tablescape of your own!
