A Cozy Family Holiday Movie Night with Papa Murphy’s

    December 17, 2020 / 2,193 Comments

During the holidays I love to do lots of cozy family activities with the kids to make beautiful memories. One of our favorite things to do is watch holiday movies together by the fire, while doing a holiday themed craft and enjoying yummy pizza and popcorn. This year, our family is making the most of celebrating the holidays at home with lots more family movie nights and Papa Murphy’s Take N’ Bake pizzas. We all enjoy the time together, the fun activities, and the delicious pizza! Disclaimer: Thank you Papa Murphy’s for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions remain 100% my own. #ChangeTheWayYouPizza #sponsored On our most recent family…

A Simple & Cozy Fall Fireplace Refresh with Wayfair.com

    October 27, 2020 / 1,606 Comments

Decorating my mantle seasonally is one of my favorite things to do, in fact I often change up the decorations a couple times throughout the seasons! I have been having a lot of fun mixing up my decor, alternating from lots of layers and textures with simpler designs with just a couple key colors. For this fireplace mantle I wanted to keep it super simple, only adding just a few pieces, and staying within a white/cream, mustard, and burnt orange color theme. Disclaimer: Thank you Wayfair for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions remain 100% my own. To create coziness for fall in any space, just add a few…

A Neutral, White & Cozy Cottage Farmhouse Fall Home Tour

    September 23, 2020 / 1,614 Comments

Making a home cozy for fall is one of my favorite things to do. The sunny days are gone, the rain begins, and our family spends a lot more time indoors. To make sure our space is cozy I love to add lots of pillows, blankets, and of course – pumpkins! I decorate with faux pumpkins and stems, they are reusable and look so cute. I made some changes this year including decorating our new brick fireplace hearth, but you can see last year’s fall home tour here as well. Are you ready to take a peek at this years neutral cozy cottage fall home tour? To keep my home…

The Top Family-Friendly Stops on the Road to Hana – Maui, Hawaii

    September 15, 2020 / 1,505 Comments

On our recent 10-day family trip to Maui, Hawaii, our family embarked on the Road to Hana – undoubtedly Maui’s number one attraction. The Road to Hana is a beautiful 54 mile highway that takes adventurers around over 600 curves and over more than 50 bridges. This day-trip can be taken with a tour guide, or you can drive the road yourself. Either way, be prepared to see some awesome sights and eat some delicious treats (amazing banana breads can be found all along this drive) on this must-do Maui adventure. This is definitely a trip you can take with the whole family, but start early (driving the narrow winding road at…

9 Locally-Loved Businesses to Support on Your Next Maui Vacation

    September 15, 2020 / 1,696 Comments

Spend time in Hawaii and chances are you’ll be struck by its values. From malama (nurturing others) to kokua (helping out), the 50th state is known around the globe for having a kind, loving soul—that “aloha spirit” that’s felt the moment you step on Hawaii’s shores.  Want to get in on it? Two of Hawaii’s most prized principles, ohana (family/community) and pono (uprightness) can be celebrated by supporting local companies that give back to the islands.  With this in mind, we’ve pulled together 9 locally-loved Maui businesses—and why you should choose their services the next time you’re on the Valley Isle: Redline Rafting Co. Kihei-based Redline Rafting provides heaps of…

Creating a Rustic & Neutral Fall Centerpiece with Vintage Finds

    September 10, 2020 / 4,835 Comments

Creating a rustic and neutral fall centerpiece with vintage finds and antiques simply requires that you have some fun vintage pieces in earth tones and neutrals, layered with some pretty faux fall stems. For this fall centerpiece, I style my vintage pieces and antiques in an old antique crate. I love the rustic wood tone of the crate for fall. Layered with some greens and earthy fall florals, a vintage marshmallows tin, old books, and some white pumpkins made from vintage chenille fabrics. This vintage crate is large enough to layer a few different containers, so I have a large vintage campfire marshmallows tin and two vintage crocks layered in…
